Please Join Us in Welcoming Our New President to
The Summit Lighthouse and Church Universal and Triumphant!
We are very excited that starting February 1, 2016, Rev. Valerie McBride will be the new president, ready to take up the reins of The Summit Lighthouse and Church Universal and Triumphant to lead our thrust for dynamic change.
Most of us recognize Valerie from her years as president in the recent past, for five years from 2008 to 2013. We are extremely grateful that after a brief “retreat,” serving as a regional minister and working in Montessori education in San Diego, Valerie is ready to help lead the charge once again during this most exciting time of opportunity for our movement.
You may remember that under Valerie’s leadership teams of staff and volunteers created and spearheaded some of our most important current initiatives:
- Global‐I to focus prayers on significant current events
- Volunteers in Action (VIA) and youth internships
- Internet and technological expansion
- Online radio program—The Open Door—which has gained thousands of listeners
- A Montessori teacher and parent training program
- Family and Youth Services including support of Mary’s Way religious training
- The Field Advisory Committee to formulate creative ideas for growth from the local level
She also achieved 7 percent revenue growth and a balanced budget.
Valerie is a sought‐after Montessori educator, trainer, and administrator. She is an accomplished astrologer, speaker, media representative, businesswoman, and ordained minister. She is much loved by members around the world and by staff. And perhaps, most importantly, she is on fire to work with all of us to lead this organization into a new day of unprecedented expansion and growth using the resources of Internet community‐building platforms, marketing, outreach, and our youth.
Prior to her official February 1 start date, Valerie will be interacting with staff and members, finishing up some Montessori education projects, Summit University projects, and outreach. We are very grateful for Valerie’s hard work as well as to her husband, Scott McBride, for his support of his wife in this essential role. Valerie is looking forward to working with all of you and with our Board, staff, Elders, and Spiritual Director, Rev. David Drye.
Thank you for having offered your prayers for the will of God in bringing the right leadership at this time, and thank you for your support of this movement, the messengers and the ascended masters.
